Deleting your ESZ account
You can delete your ESZ account yourself, in the app or in a browser, without contacting support. This page explains how to do it, what is deleted, what is kept and why, and what to do if you no longer have access to your account or the app.
1. Delete from the app
- Open the ESZ app and sign in.
- Open Profile.
- In the "Delete account" section, choose "Delete account".
- Read the summary: what is deleted, what is kept, and how much you owe in each community.
- Type the confirmation word exactly as shown and, if your account has a password, enter your password.
- Confirm the deletion. You are signed out immediately, and a confirmation that the account was deleted is sent to the account's email address.
2. Delete from a browser
The same steps are available in the web app. Sign in at app.esz.rs, open My profile and, at the bottom of the page, in the "Delete account" section, choose "Delete account". The summary, the confirmation and the password are the same as in the app.
3. If you no longer have access
If you have only forgotten your password, the quickest way is to reset it on the sign-in page and then delete the account yourself.
If you cannot sign in at all, write to us and ask for your account to be deleted. Send the request from the email address the account is registered with and say that you want the account deleted.
Before deleting anything we check that the request comes from the account's owner. We reply only to the account's email address and delete the account only after you confirm the request from that address. A request sent from any other address is not carried out until you confirm it from the account's address. We never ask for your password. Once the account is deleted, we send a confirmation to the account's address.

4. What is deleted
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. The following is deleted:
- your name or company name, email address, phone number, address, date of birth, personal identification number (JMBG), tax number (PIB), registration number, contact person and profile picture
- every way of signing in: your password and linked Google, Microsoft and Apple accounts
- sign-ins on all your devices and push notification registrations
- all notifications and notification settings
- your memberships in residential communities and your unit assignments, as well as invitations you have not yet accepted
- your public tradesperson profile on esz.rs and your professional manager licence number, if you have them
5. What is kept, and why
Bills, payments, the unit ledger, closed votes and fault reports stay in the community's records, but they are no longer linked to your name: in its place they show the label "Obrisani korisnik #<number>" (deleted user). A residential community is required to keep its financial records and the records of its assemblies, so these records are not deleted.
How long these records are kept is set by the applicable accounting legislation and the legislation on housing and building maintenance.
Deleting your account does not cancel a debt. Unpaid bills stay in the community's records; please contact the community's manager about them.
You may register again later with the same email address, but that creates a new, empty account. A deleted account cannot be restored.
6. If you manage a community
While you are the manager or administrator of a community, your account cannot be deleted, because a community without a manager would have nobody to issue bills, run votes or handle reports. First hand management over to someone else:
- Sign in at app.esz.rs and select the community.
- Open Community Details, the "Manager and Admin" tab.
- Enter the new person's email address (they must already have an ESZ account) and save.
- Repeat this for every community you manage, then delete your account as described in section 1 or 2.
If there is nobody to hand management over to, for example because nobody else in the community has an account or the community no longer exists, write to us from your account's email address, to the same address as in section 3, and name the communities concerned. Support will assign management to someone else or close the community, after which you can delete your account yourself. If you no longer have access to your account, we then delete it for you, with the same check as in section 3.
